As part of UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR), its mission is to “serve California through the creation, development, and application of knowledge in agricultural, natural, and human resources.” UCCE Sutter–Yuba works in close collaboration with Sutter County and Yuba County and connects the community with practical, research-based support from the University of California. By partnering across CalFresh Healthy Living, 4-H Youth Development, and Master Gardeners, the Featured Project: Growing Healthy Futures for Sutter County Youth expands hands-on learning opportunities for local youth. More than 300 campus-based specialists and county-based farm, home and youth advisors, along with thousands of volunteers through the Master Gardener Program and the California 4-H Youth Development Program, contribute to this work across California.
