Every day focuses on a different adventure sport, with an example schedule of Monday stand up paddleboarding, Tuesday hiking, Wednesday canoeing, Thursday kayaking, and Friday biking.

Every activity starts with a discussion about risks, prevention, and response, and every challenge is calibrated to campers’ age and ability.
Avid4 Adventure Day Camps – Castle Rock Adventure Camp is part of Avid4 Adventure, which offers one-week adventure summer camps centered on authentic local settings and organizes big adventures in beautiful recreation areas. The broader Avid4 Adventure programs empower kids from PreK–12 and grow with campers from age 3 through their first summer job. Avid4 Adventure describes itself as the home of multi-sport adventure and notes that multiple sessions result in greater skill development, increased self-confidence, higher levels of risk assessment and environmental awareness, and improved ability to connect socially and make new friends.
The camp is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises an authentic outdoor adventure, well-trained and professional staff, and increased confidence, with the next Avid4 Adventure camp free if these promises are not met. Avid4 Adventure states that top-tier staff are the number one point of positive feedback from parents of campers. The organization notes that its instructors are all 18 and older, are described as insatiable outdoors experts who love adventuring and working with kids, and have serious safety and skills training. At the helm of Avid4 Adventure is David Secunda, former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry.
Avid4 Adventure is accredited by the American Camp Association, named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps, and is a Certified B Corp committed to public transparency and accountability. The organization operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Avid4 Adventure describes itself as a premium camp committed to paying educators a fair wage and anticipates hiring approximately 500 educators to provide authentic outdoor adventures across all camps.
The mission of Avid4 Adventure states a belief in the transformative power of the outdoors and says that at Avid4 Adventure kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Parent testimonials describe this as a favorite camp, mention kids learning to ride a bike without training wheels during camp, and note that staff are mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion with children. Parents also report that their kids talk about camp more than a month later, are active every day, and learn how to enjoy what Colorado has to offer.
