About

Avid4 Adventure Day Camps – Castle Rock Adventure Camp offers a one-week Adventure summer camp where campers spend each day on different outdoor sports, including mountain biking, biking, climbing a local crag, hiking a trail, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddleboarding. The program also includes teambuilding activities and a flat-water instruction program for paddling equipment and safety. Campers can bring their own bikes or use bikes from the camp’s fleet, which accommodates campers of any size, and they use top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids.

• Ages: 7–12 years old
• Schedule: One-week sessions, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, with extended care available 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Price: One-week camp $740; Early Drop Off (starting at 8 AM) $35; After Care (3–5:30 PM) $105; Avid4 merch available at camp, prices vary (tax included)

Campers are grouped by grade range, with 2nd–4th graders concentrating on getting comfortable with new activities and 5th–7th graders focusing on teamwork, mentorship, and deepening technical competence. Every challenge is calibrated to campers’ age and ability, and every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved, how to prevent them, and how to respond if something goes wrong. Parents and campers meet staff at a consistent location daily, and Avid4 Adventure provides transportation to and from recreation areas for the adventure sport at hand, organizing big adventures in local recreation areas and authentic outdoor settings.

The camp is led by instructors who are all 18 and older, described as insatiable outdoors experts with serious safety and skills training, and Avid4 Instructors are the number one point of positive feedback from parents of campers. Avid4 Adventure states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that at Avid4 Adventure kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. The program is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises an authentic outdoor adventure, incredibly well-trained and professional staff, and increased confidence, and if these promises are not met, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free.

Avid4 Adventure is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. It states a commitment to public transparency and accountability as a Certified B Corp and to paying educators a fair wage. Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Campers learn about flora and fauna and Leave No Trace principles and deepen their connection with fellow campers through teambuilding activities. Programs evolve as campers grow from age 3 to 17, and Avid4 Adventure describes its summer camps as highly acclaimed and as a premium camp. The organization offers a Multi-Session/Sibling discount of $25 off per session after the first, a Referral Program where families can give friends $50 off their first camp and receive a $50 coupon for a future 2026 camp when the friend makes a purchase, and a Service Discount of $65 off for qualifying professions.

Parent testimonials describe this as a favorite camp where a camper who previously used training wheels learned to ride a bike without them and later became comfortable riding independently, and where campers became enthusiastic about stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, and biking. Other parents report that their children wanted to share what they learned each day, describe the staff as mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion, and say their kids had “the best time” and continued talking about camp more than a month later.
