Cottonwood Center for the Arts offers arts education for youth and adults, along with workshops, tours, educational panel discussions, and live art demonstrations. The program also hosts monthly First Friday events, open calls for entries, and other exhibition opportunities, and includes gallery spaces, a theater, and classrooms for these activities.

• Schedule: Art center hours are Tuesday–Thursday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Cottonwood Center for the Arts is a nonprofit arts organization that has been a mainstay of the Colorado Springs arts community since 1997 and holds over 140 studio artists. It is home to the largest group of creatives in Colorado Springs and serves as a nexus of educational programming, gallery shows, and studio spaces. The organization’s vision is to create an environment for a thriving arts community leaving a legacy of arts, culture, and beauty to future generations, and it strives to provide the highest quality arts and culture experience to the community and its guests. Cottonwood brings together small businesses, professional artists, community nonprofits, and students of all ages to engage the Pikes Peak Region in art through learning, exhibits, and performances, and it hosts a diverse and creative community of workspaces for artists. The program provides space to create, a creative community to collaborate with, a unique setting for special events, and a quiet afternoon of taking in art.

The leadership team includes Executive Director Jon Khoury; Director of Finance Christine Lawson, CPA; Gallery Director Jess Preble; Director of Education and Curator Annie Pieper; Events Director Sam Abbott; Digital Media Coordinator Claudia Folk Wright; Grant Writing staff member Jacqueline Viola Moulton; Ceramics Programs lead Kris Saxton; Ceramics Instructor Dina Bredahl; Community Relations staff member Charlotte Parsons; Purchasing staff member Karen Khoury; and Facilities Manager Joel Jefferson. The board includes President Jeni Smith; Vice President Carrie Simison; Secretary Stacey Waldrup; and members Kelly Cable, Colin Christie, Glenn McMahan, Margo Musante, Cherish St. Denis, Denise Noble (Ex Officio), and Cari Hanrahan (Ex Officio).
