Cottonwood Center for the Arts offers arts education for youth and adults, along with workshops, tours, educational panel discussions, and live art demonstrations. The program also includes monthly First Friday events, open calls for entries, and other exhibition opportunities in connection with gallery shows and studio spaces. Art center hours are 10 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Thursday, 10 am to 5 pm on Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.

Cottonwood Center for the Arts is a nonprofit arts complex that holds over 140 studio artists, gallery spaces, a theater, and classrooms. It has been a mainstay of the Colorado Springs arts community since 1997. The organization brings together small businesses, professional artists, community nonprofits, and students of all ages through learning, exhibits, and performances, and hosts a diverse community of workspaces for artists. Its vision is to create an environment for a thriving arts community leaving a legacy of arts, culture, and beauty to future generations. The leadership team includes an Executive Director, a Director of Finance who is a CPA, a Gallery Director, a Director of Education and Curator, an Events Director, a Digital Media Coordinator, staff for grant writing, ceramics programs and instruction, community relations, purchasing, and facilities management, as well as a board with officers and additional members.
