• Schedule: Seven weeks of Day Camp programming from June 8 through July 24; office hours June–August, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Colorado Academy has offered summer activities for Denver metro area youth since 1951. The mission of Colorado Academy Summer Programs is to encourage self-discovery so that campers can identify passions, nurture talents, and increase skills, with a stated purpose of building self-confidence and encouraging individuals to step out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, take healthy risks, enjoy the experiences, and acknowledge their accomplishments. The leadership team includes Jenny Wilczewski, Director of Summer Programs, and Renee Medina, Assistant to the Director of Summer Programs. Young people attend from a wide area, including Castle Rock, Evergreen, and Parker.
Parent feedback describes children learning, experiencing, and growing in many areas, and notes that Colorado Academy Summer Programs have been a highlight of one child’s summers for four years. Parents report a variety of offerings including music, art, outdoor activities, and STEM, and mention that the day camp keeps kids active and outside. Several parents describe the camp as the best or best-run camp they have found, appreciate the many options to fit different interests, and note that they are willing to drive across town so their children can participate.
