About

adidas Tennis Camps offers tennis training that includes on-court training, tennis clinics, individual and team instruction, and match play. Campers take part in match situation drills and receive instruction on serves, grip, drop-shots, lobs and top spin, court movements, swing mechanics, forehand and backhand, and rules and scoring. Many locations also include exhibition tennis matches, videotape analysis, a teambuilding evening activity, swimming for overnight and extended day camps, and a fun off court evening activity.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Programs run over 4–6 days with options for full or half-day camps, as well as overnight or extended day camps; day and half day campers spend about 15–25 hours on court over 3–6 days.

Since 2001, eCamps Sports Network has developed over 100,000 young athletes at their camps nationwide. The adidas Tennis Camps mission states that the camps were developed to provide athletes an opportunity to become better tennis players in a fun, positive atmosphere, with campers learning from coaches and leaving camp with confidence and a passion to enjoy tennis as a “sport of a lifetime.” Coaches at adidas Tennis Camps include former tennis pros, proven college coaches, and current all-star college players, and each director uses a training program aimed at maximum improvement for campers from beginners to top tournament players. Staff supervise campers for the entire duration of camp and, at overnight camps, live in the dormitories with campers. The program lists core values of Excellence, Fun, Improvement, Safety, and Sportsmanship, and states that drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products are strictly forbidden and result in immediate dismissal from camp without refund. Campers are grouped by ability and age, the camp is open to any and all entrants, and each camper receives an adidas Tennis Camp T-shirt.

Overnight campers stay in dorm rooms with all-you-can-eat buffet meals provided. Extended Day Camp schedules run from 9:00am to 8:00pm with lunch and dinner included. Day and Half Day Campers are generally expected to bring their own lunch, depending on the location. The program notes that expert tennis training is offered for all ages and abilities, with a focus on technical skills such as footwork, groundstrokes, serving, volleying, match play strategy, doubles concepts, and tactical skills. Summer camps and clinics are offered throughout the country in over 20 states, with a half day option from 9:00am to noon for younger campers ages 5–8 years old and an Extended Day Camp option at most overnight camp locations. Videotape analysis is available at most tennis sports camps, and overnight campers take part in a teambuilding evening activity.
