About
Girls Mountain Biking Camp – Golden focuses on learning mountain biking skills, including trail riding on rolling single and double track terrain and riding narrow and winding trails. Campers practice technical skills such as bunny hops, track stands, braking, and shifting, along with basic bike commands. The program also includes learning bicycle maintenance basics and bike maintenance, such as safety checking bikes, solving gear problems, changing flat tires, and learning to properly fit a helmet and bike, as well as exploring activities that foster personal development and team building.

The camp day runs from 9 AM to 3 PM, with extended care available from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Transportation to and from recreation areas is provided, and campers have access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids. Campers are strongly encouraged to use their own tuned bikes that fit well and are appropriate for dirt trails, including hand brakes and wider tires, or they may rent a bike during registration. In order to register, campers must be able to bike confidently without training wheels on a dirt surface, and if they do not meet this minimum skill requirement, the camp may move them to a different program if space is available or remove them from the group and offer a credit. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved, how to prevent them, and how to respond if something goes wrong.
Instructors are described as insatiable outdoors experts who love adventuring almost as much as they love working with kids, are all 18 and older, and have serious safety and skills training.
