Dance Works Studio offers dance classes including Pre-Ballet, Ballet and Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Competition/Performance, Turns & Leaps, Mommy & Me, and Summer Dance Classes. Dance Works Studio was founded in 1980 by Kathryn J. Schulte and has taken pride in providing quality dance instruction and dance classes in the Grand Valley. Dance Works is described as Grand Valley’s premier and most respected dance studio offering dance classes to students in and across Grand Junction, Colorado. The studio’s mission states that Dance Works is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for dance students of all ages and levels to thrive and succeed while learning the art of dance. All teachers at Dance Works are described as well-qualified dance instructors with extensive dance experience. Dance Works promotes artistic expression, self-confidence, self-discipline, proper dance technique, and respect for self and others.
Before any student may participate in class, Dance Works must have a signed registration agreement accompanied by the registration fee and tuition fee for summer, and accompanied by the registration fee and first month’s class fee for fall/spring; students continuing from May are already covered for summer registration but must complete a new registration form. For payment purposes, classes that meet twice a week count as 2 classes per week, and Pointe classes count as 1 class per week. The listed private lesson prices include choreography, and current students receive a $10 per hour discount on studio rental time. Families who pay the Fall/Spring session in full receive 10% off.
