Dance Works offers classes in Pre-Ballet, Ballet and Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, and Competition/Performance. The program also includes Summer Dance Camp where children practice basic dance movements, play movement games, work on gross motor skills, and create story-related arts and crafts using music chosen from movies. Summer Dance Camp is open for children above four years of age, and camp themes vary.

Dance Works was founded in 1980 by Kathryn J. Schulte. All teachers at Dance Works are described as well-qualified dance instructors with extensive dance experience. Dance Works states that it is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for dance students of all ages and levels to thrive and succeed while learning the art of dance, and that it promotes artistic expression, self-confidence, self-discipline, proper dance technique, and respect for self and others. Families must notify the office in writing 30 days in advance of any changes in registration status. All private lessons are 30 minutes and prices include choreography. Full costume and make-up are required for the “Sleeping Beauty” in-studio rehearsal and photos and for the dress rehearsal at the GJHS Auditorium.
