Flatirons Volleyball Club is a junior girls’ volleyball club entering its 27th season of training athletic young women from Boulder County and the surrounding area. Its mission is to develop junior girls into complete athletes on and off the court, with a strong emphasis on confidence, competitive spirit, effort, and respect in victory and defeat. The club teaches self-discipline, time management, leadership, and other life lessons inherent in team sport, and keeps fun as a top priority, with team building and team unity as key life skills. Practices are physically and mentally challenging and are designed to optimize athletes’ time by maximizing touches on the ball.

Flatirons is a competitive club governed by USA Volleyball, competes in USA Volleyball-sanctioned events, and is a state registered non profit organization. The club competes in USA Volleyball-sanctioned events because of the superior level of competition and the strength of the USA program. Flatirons is proud to sponsor the Monarch Gold Crown Volleyball Teams, hosts an annual “Dig Deep” food drive to benefit Community Food Share, and uses BAND to host team calendars and club events. Flatirons Volleyball Club has been featured in the Boulder Daily Camera Non-Profit Spotlight.

Flatirons has an experienced, dedicated staff of coaches, including Club Director Susan Cancilla and coach Kerrilyn. After 26 years of training thousands of athletes, the club is most proud of the lifelong relationships that have continued beyond club volleyball, and Flatirons alumni return to give back as Flatirons coaches. The beach program launched in 2015 with eight teams that finished in the top five of every event they entered.
