NORCO Volleyball Club offers volleyball activities including girls open gym, a spring prime league, winter clinics, a serving and passing clinic, an academy, a club season, and private lessons. The program also offers boys volleyball programming and club teams, as well as pickleball.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Facility hours include daytime and evening options on Monday through Thursday, and 7:00am–9:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Norco Pickleball Fall hours run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00am–1:00pm starting October 14 (weather dependent).
• Price: $6.18 for a single pickleball visit, or $55.62 for a 9-punch digital pickleball card with the 10th visit free, and $10 for each lost pickleball.
NORCO Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization that focuses on developing volleyball players into well-rounded individuals and uses club volleyball as a tool to teach young men and women how to face difficult circumstances and balance school, life, family, and volleyball. NORCO Volleyball has been building teams, players, and people for 40 years. The club has a 30,000 sq. ft. facility and is cashless for pickleball, preferring debit or credit cards for pickleball fees. For pickleball, NORCO provides the nets, and participants bring their own paddles and balls or check out pickleballs from the front office by leaving a driver’s license or car keys, paying $10 for any lost balls when the bin is returned. The HiCast Livestream at NORCO allows families to watch players live and on-demand with zoom and slow motion, with subscriptions available by the week, month, or year. All are welcome at the April 4th winter clinic that focuses on serving and passing.
The leadership team includes Lindsey Blahauvietz as Executive Director, Daniel Sharrah as Director of Programs/Operations and Recruiting Coordinator, Mary Murphy as Finance Director, Jim Stone as Technical Director, and Cathy Mahaffey, Ed.D., as Club Consultant. Jim Stone earned a master’s degree in education from Bowling Green University in 1977, was named an All-American at the NCAA Championships in 1974, was named to The Ohio State Athletic Hall of Fame, and was designated an “All-Time Great Coach” by USA Volleyball. Cathy Mahaffey holds an Ed.D.
NORCO Volleyball asks that all NORCO teams playing on a specified weekend wear a red ribbon in honor of Jim Stone’s Ohio State coaching days. NORCO Volleyball invites volleyball enthusiasts, former players, former parents, current players, and current parents to partner with NORCO by sponsoring a current player and supporting building maintenance, coaches’ salaries, and improvements to the club.
