About
adidas Tennis Camps focuses on on-court training that includes serves, grip, drop-shots, lobs, top spin, court movements, swing mechanics, forehand, backhand, rules and scoring, match play, and match situation drills. Campers also take part in instruction sessions, optional match play, and fun off-court evening activities such as swimming and a teambuilding evening activity.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Programs run 4–6 days with options for full or half-day, overnight, or extended day camps; day camps include about 15–25 hours of court time over 3–6 days.
Coaches at adidas Tennis Camps include former tennis pros, proven college coaches, and current all-star college players, and each director uses a training program aimed at maximum improvement for all campers. Staff pros give individual attention to campers from beginners to top tournament players, and staff supervise campers for the entire duration of camp, including residing in dormitories with overnight campers. Overnight campers stay in dorm room accommodations, have all meals provided, and extended day campers follow a daily schedule from 9:00am to 8:00pm with lunch and dinner included. Tennis campers bring their own lunch for day and half-day camps, depending on the location, and each camper receives an adidas Tennis Camp T-shirt. The camp is open to any and all entrants, campers are grouped by ability and age, videotape analysis is available at most camps, and core values include Excellence, Fun, Improvement, Safety, and Sportsmanship. Since 2001, eCamps Sports Network has developed over 100,000 young athletes at its camps nationwide. The adidas Tennis Camps mission states that the camps were developed to provide athletes an opportunity to become better tennis players in a fun, positive atmosphere, with campers learning from experienced coaches and leaving with confidence and a passion to enjoy tennis as a “sport of a lifetime.” Drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products are strictly forbidden and result in immediate dismissal from camp without refund.
