About
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington offers Career Launch for ages 13-18, with workshops on interview skills, resume writing, and academic support. It also offers Power Hour for ages 6-12, SMART Girls for ages 10-15, Passport to Manhood for ages 11-14, Money Matters for ages 13-18, STEM Club, Music programs, Healthy Habits, SMART Moves, and an education and college preparatory program that begins as early as 7th grade.

- Career Launch — 13-18 · Helps teens choose the college or career path that is right for them; offers workshops that teach interview skills, resume writing skills, and academic support.
- Education / college preparatory program — as early as 7th grade · A college preparatory program that helps Club members understand key check points in the college admissions process and focuses on goal setting and steps needed to obtain a post-secondary education.
- ExtremeTeens — teens · A place to chill, grow, speak up and be heard; offers opportunities and experiences that help with academics, money, college, career, being healthy, and making smart choices.
- Healthy Habits
- Leadership / character and democracy program — 14-18 · Club members elect leaders and coordinate community service projects on behalf of the organization; introduced to civics and democracy.
- Money Matters — 13-18 · Promotes financial responsibility and independence; participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses and pay for college.
- Music programs — A wide array of music programs at the heart of the mission to advance the character of young people through creativity and the arts.
- Passport to Manhood — 11-14 · Promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys; consists of 14 sessions, each concentrating on a specific aspect of character and manhood through highly interactive activities.
- Power Hour — 6-12 · A comprehensive homework tutoring program designed to raise the academic proficiency of participants.
- SMART Girls — 10-15 · A self-esteem building program focusing on education; encourages healthy attitudes and wise lifestyle decisions.
- SMART Moves — A prevention/education program addressing problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity.
- STEM Club — Provides access to hands-on high-yield activities in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields; members learn about energy and urban infrastructure.
