Rockin W Ranch

Rockin W Ranch offers riding lessons, summer camps, Special Olympics Quality Riding Instruction, boarding, horse leases, volunteer opportunities, and pony parties. The riding lesson program is based on the Certified Horsemanship Association's Composite Horsemanship Manual, and helmets and boots are required to ride; helmets are initially provided for all students. Group lessons are $240 a month or $70 a lesson, private lessons are $300 a month or $80 a lesson, and Jr. Instructor Private Lessons are $250 a month upon availability.

About the provider

Rockin W Ranch has been serving the local community for over 30 years. The leadership team includes Kathy and Donnie (Cowboy) Everly and Laura Plumley. The program states that it provides a safe environment for both horses and riding students and that it strives to equip today's and tomorrow's horsemen and horsewomen with the skills to become a beneficial partner to any horse.

There is a high volume of interest in riding lessons, and when spots in the program become available, they use a waitlist to contact the next person in line. Interested people are asked to fill out the waitlist form. Laura Plumley coordinates lessons for all instructors, camps, and equine experiences.
