Ancient Ways Martial Arts offers Little Dragons, Kids Martial Arts, Teen Martial Arts, Adult Martial Arts, Kids Jiu Jitsu, Adult Jiu Jitsu, birthday parties, summer camp, and Kids Martial Arts Summer Camps. Classes take place at Ancient Ways Martial Arts school, which is described as having a spotless facility and a safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere for students and family members. Ancient Ways Martial Arts has taught in the area since 1982 and maintains over 300 students, about half of whom are adults. The school offers a reality-based, non-sport self defense system designed by the founder that includes striking, grappling, forms, weapon defense drills, take-downs, ground fighting, and auto-response drills. It provides martial arts classes to the Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Palmetto communities and runs a summer camp in Bradenton focused on martial arts, as well as birthday parties that are described as the best in Bradenton. The program has been recognized by the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA) as one of the top 1% schools in North America and is described as Bradenton's Best Martial Arts school, with Bradenton members reported as having seen improvements in as little as 7 days. Founder and Grandmaster Boon Brown holds a degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Recreational Therapy, worked as a Recreational Therapist in a psychiatric hospital for several years, and has taught in the area since 1982, helping hundreds achieve Black Belt and thousands find a path to self improvement through the martial arts. The leadership team includes Boon Brown, Nidan Jannel, who manages student services and is an instructor, and Miss Brooklyn Jackson, an instructor who especially helps Wee Warriors. The school’s mission states that since opening, it has been dedicated to changing lives one person at a time through martial arts, education, and coaching, with a focus on a safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere, an environment for individuals to achieve, develop, and succeed in personal goals, and a belief that martial arts can be for everyone regardless of age, gender, or experience level, using a realistic and practical approach to self-protection.

Parent and student comments describe Ancient Ways Martial Arts Academy as a wonderful place with staff who are wonderful and caring toward any student or parent, and say that the staff is top-notch, the curriculum is engaging, and the facility is spotless. One parent reports that a child “absolutely loves it,” describes the instructors as patient and kind and invested in the child, and calls the program a great support system.
