About
SCF Coding Academy Youth Enrichment Programs offers hands-on activities in STEM, culinary, music, and coding. Students work with tools and technologies such as 3D printing, laser cutting, virtual reality, robotics, and smart manufacturing technologies as part of the Emerging Technology Lab and makerspace.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
The program is led by experienced educators and trainers. The leadership team includes instructors such as Daryl Bagley (Python / Microsoft), Tiffany Eder (Data Analytics), Melissa Link (HTML/CSS & Unity), Jonny Ortiz (AWS), Michelle Roberts (CAD), Charles Routhier (CompTIA), and J.T. Taylor (JavaScript/ASP.net). The Advanced Technology Center’s mission is to bridge the gap between education and the tech industry and to empower the community with tools, skills, and confidence to work in a digital world. The programs support K–12 students through homeschool, after school, and summer enrichment. Middle and high school students earn industry certifications, and students use tools in the Emerging Technology Lab to build prototypes and portfolios. SCF Coding Academy Youth Enrichment Programs include in-person and online options for homeschool, PEP students, afterschoolers, and pre-college students, as well as summer enrichment, Pre-College Emerging Technology Workshops, and a Youth Leaders in Information Technology program. The program offers bootcamps in Web Apps with AI, Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing using curriculum from Amazon Web Services, along with industry training and certification programs in areas such as Python, JavaScript, AWS, and CompTIA. It also offers micro-credential tech workshops in areas like ChatGPT and AI, Canva, WordPress, Adobe, and digital marketing, and accepts scholarships for online and in-person courses in software development, cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud computing, and UX/UI.
