Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay offers after-school care that includes academic success programs, workforce readiness activities, leadership development, and mentorship. The program also offers meals, safe spaces during out-of-school hours, and before and after school program models. Teens can take part in the Future Leaders Workforce Development Program, which focuses on job readiness skills and vocational exploration, and all participants can join programs and services that support success in school, leadership skill development, and maintaining healthy lifestyles.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay operates 63 Club sites using school-based Clubs, stand-alone building sites, and Law Enforcement Sites that are run in partnership with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and include a sub-station with a full-time deputy on site. The organization’s mission is to provide high quality out of school time Club experiences proven to keep young people on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrate good character and citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle. It is led by President and CEO Freddy Williams. The organization traces its history back to the West Tampa Boys Club established in 1926 and has grown through multiple name changes, mergers, and a shared services agreement that led to an official merger and renaming to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay on April 29, 2025. It is one of the largest nonprofit after-school providers in Florida, operates one of the biggest Boys & Girls Clubs mergers in the country, and hosts the 2026 Florida State Youth of the Year Competition, where Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay offers a monthly giving program called the 1926 Club and holds the Club 100 Centennial Society Gala to mark 100 years of impact. The organization partners with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation, United Way, the Hillsborough County Children’s Board, Tampa Housing Authority, and the City of Plant City, and it provides youth services throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay has been named a Tampa Bay One honoree, and its President and CEO Freddy Williams has been named a Titan 100.
