Marine Science Summer Camp is offered by a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The organization’s mission is to preserve the environment while inspiring the human spirit through leadership in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of marine life, environmental education, research, and conservation. Net proceeds from every visit help support rescue, rehabilitate and release efforts and provide funds for animal care, education, and conservation. Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which runs the camp, was voted Best Family Fun in the Visit St. Pete-Clearwater 2025 Besties Awards. The Aquarium currently has four new rough-toothed dolphins named Doris, Kitana, Dagny, and Wren, and the Dr. James “Buddy” Powell Manatee Rehabilitation Center includes new manatee patients.
