About
Spitfire Farm Riding Lessons and Camps offers horse riding lessons that include equitation, jumping, natural horsemanship, and barrel racing. The program welcomes all riding disciplines and holds quarterly onsite clinics in equitation, jumping, natural horsemanship, and barrel racing.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Hours: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Spitfire Farm Riding Lessons and Camps operates as a full-service boarding facility with onsite managers 24 hours a day and offers various levels of boarding services, including full board, grooming, clipping, exercising, and supervised medical care. The facility plans two full rings, one focused on jumping and one for flat and western, along with plenty of green grass turnout and an air-conditioned clubhouse with a full shower. The program’s mission is to provide the South Florida equestrian community with a safe and nurturing environment for both horse and rider by offering a premier boarding facility with a prize-winning training program. It is a family business in which the founders’ four children work regularly at the farm, and it is one of the only farms in Coconut Creek where riders can ride horses into a nearby park and access miles of equestrian trails.
Founders and owners Paul Cook and Ejola Cook actively run the day-to-day operations of the farm. Paul Cook is a military aircraft structural mechanic and public affairs specialist and serves as an Active Reservist. Ejola Cook is a former senior executive at Off Lease Only LLC and a Law Partner at Kelley Kronenberg focusing on equestrian, automotive dealer, and business law; she was named a Lawyer of Distinction in 2020, a Top-Rated Lawyer in 2021, and one of the 2021 power lawyers in the New York Times. Trainer January Magee has been a trainer for over 30 years and has taken riders from beginners to showing at the highest level in the country. Trainer Lorraine Royal has been a trainer for over a decade and focuses on the junior show team and beginners to intermediate riders ages 6 and up. Trainer Lauren Soohoo has over 20 years of horse experience in Hunter Jumpers and Dressage, over 10 years of teaching, focuses on young adult students and older, and has completed and placed at Zone II Hunter Finals, Marshall and Sterling Finals, and IHSA Regionals. Trainer Natalie Liliav teaches the fundamentals of horse riding. One parent testimonial states, “Words can not describe how please I am with Spitfires services. If you are looking for growth, warmth, and kindness within a barn; then Spitfire is the place to be!”
