Arts for Learning

Arts for Learning offers programs where children and teens work directly with Teaching Artists who are professional actors, dancers, choreographers, musicians, visual artists, animators, designers, and writers. The program includes afterschool programs, summer camps, studio programs, internships, artist residencies at preschools and schools, and teacher professional development. Arts for Learning uses the guiding phrase “All Children. All Arts. All Abilities.”

Arts for Learning’s mission is to advance teaching and learning through the arts. The organization serves more than 5,000 students annually at over 50 locations. Its leadership team includes Sheila Womble (Executive Director), Wanda Carreras (Assistant Program Manager), Ivy S. Bennett (Program Director), Carlos Noguera (Artist Services Director), Zekeria Holcomb (Site Manager), Dia Carter Webb (Senior Program Director), Sidra Mattson Urbom (Finance & Operations Director), Hamah Dorestant (Program Manager), Raúl Santiago-Lugo (Personnel & Operations Coordinator), Graciela Lacayo (Site Manager), Carolina Candelaria (Communications Director), Damaris Suarez (Finance Manager), Rosana Gutierrez (Operations Manager), and Laura Marsh (Development Director). Recognized support includes a $200K 2025 Pérez CreARTE Grant from The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation to support early learning programming, a $250K award from the Keenan Charitable Trust to support ArtWorks internships, and a $25,000 award from The Kirk Foundation to launch an arts education program in South Dade.
