The Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County Foundation was established to provide financial support for these programs and facilities in Nassau County, Florida. The Foundation previously raised the funds needed to construct two local Clubs and now raises all of the funds needed each year to operate the Clubs year-round for after-school and summer program services. The mission of the Foundation is to fund Nassau County’s after-school and summer programs that benefit the community’s youth by providing them with a safe place to improve their academics, be engaged with positive role models, and develop into confident leaders.

The Board of Directors develops, directs, and organizes efforts to continue programs that began in 2000. The Board is described as a working board that reviews and assesses the community’s future needs to align services that help youth, and its members come together monthly to plan fundraising efforts and special programs. Directors receive no compensation, make a financial commitment to the Foundation and Clubs, and head or serve on committees that handle marketing and communication, financial and budgetary services, money management, and fundraising events. The Board adheres to strict legal and ethical standards and follows basic governance practices for tax-exempt organizations as described by IRS Form 990.

The leadership team includes Vice Presidents Rick Armbrust and Clara V. Miller, Treasurer Cathy Thiaville, Secretary Stephanie Goldberg, Executive Committee member Keith Meyer, and Board Members Ronald Blum, Lauren Mathewson, Johanna Marlin, Danni McIntyre, Dart Meadows, Michelle Miller, Ann Elizabeth Moser, Octavia (Nicki) Pollard, Joan Sheppard, Dawn Theodore, Viorica-Ioana Weldon, Lon Welsh, and Jerry Wilkinson.
