About

Delmar Arts Academy Summer Camp includes activities such as painting, sculpting, music, theater, dance, yoga, drawing, collage, mixed media, weekly skits, Kids Yoga, outdoor playtime on a spacious playground, and fun games and experiments. Each week features a unique theme that is incorporated into all camp and art activities, with previous themes including sports week, water week, superhero week, and under the sea week. Half of each day is devoted to various visual art classes, and the summer includes three performances that focus more on the performing classes and preparing students for those performances.

Summer Camp 2025 runs from June 9th to August 1st, with children aged 2–4 attending from 8:30 am–12:30 pm or until 3:00 pm, and children aged 5 and up attending from 9:00 am–3:30 pm, with aftercare available until 5:30 pm. Delmar Arts Academy is hosting its 17th annual arts-based summer camp, and many children attend for the whole summer. The program includes a Booster Camp for rising kindergartners that uses fun games and experiments to get them ready for kindergarten and is described as being as flexible as a family’s schedule. Visual art classes are taught by artist Shannon Hand, music classes are conducted by Dr. Jessica Clemente, and Kids Yoga classes are taught by Carolina Figares. The camp uses dual-language and arts-based teaching methods, the High Scope Program, and Conscious Discipline, and it is part of a conservatory that cultivates artistic mastery in theatre, music, and dance. Delmar Arts Academy has partnered with The Florida Department of Education to offer the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program (VPK), which is available to Florida children who turn 4 by September 1st. Reports of misconduct of Delmar at the YMCA employees should be made to Adriana Jones, Director; reports of misconduct of Delmar Arts Academy East employees should be made to Ande Arnett, Director; and reports of misconduct committed by administrators should be made to Lourdes Sanchez. The mission statement for Delmar Arts Academy states that creativity, compassion, and confidence are at the heart of everything they do, that they provide a nurturing environment that fosters academic growth alongside emotional, social, and spiritual development from pre-school to elementary and beyond, and that they do not just educate but inspire, empower, and open up a world of possibilities for every child.
