About

5 Tool Training offers sports and high-quality physical training through its 5 Tool Training and Five Tool Softball Training programs. The program is described as “The Most Unique Sports Experience in jax” and uses sports and high-quality physical training as a platform to instill essential life skills.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Thursday 12:00pm–8:00pm, Friday 12:00pm–6:30pm, and Saturday–Sunday 10:00am–4:00pm
• Price: Credit cards are accepted, and a 2.9% processing fee is applied to all credit card transactions.

The mission of 5 Tool Training is to empower children to become the best version of themselves by using sports and high-quality physical training as a platform to instill essential life skills. The founder of Five Tool Softball Training is Laura Taylor, and the leadership team also includes Coach Brian Pack (Assistant Coach at USC Upstate), Scott Martin (father of Kristin Martin), and Tenesha James (parent of a daughter who participates in softball bootcamps). Coach Taylor’s playing experience at the Division I level and coaching at all levels is described as unprecedented. USC Upstate, where Coach Brian Pack coaches, is listed with credentials that include being the 2016 Atlantic Sun Tournament Champions and a 2016 NCAA Regional Participant.

The program has a refund policy stating that it does not offer refunds on any programs, but it allows participants to switch to a different program or apply a credit to their account. To receive a credit, camps must be rescheduled at least 7 days in advance (by the Sunday of the week prior to the camp), lessons and bootcamps must be rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance, and birthday parties must be postponed 30 days in advance; credits are good for 1 year from the date of the original scheduled program.

Testimonials about the program include a statement from Coach Brian Pack, Assistant Coach at USC Upstate, who says that if Coach Taylor calls and says a player is good enough for USC Upstate, he knows that player is legitimate and will go watch her. Scott Martin, father of Kristin Martin (Graduate of LaSalle University and the PRO Program), says that Five Tool Softball Training is for girls seriously looking to play softball and improve their skills, and that Laura Taylor has worked with his daughter on hitting and catching skills from travel ball through the Division I level at LaSalle University. He describes Coach Taylor’s playing experience at the D1 level and coaching at all levels as unprecedented, and calls her passionate, knowledgeable about training, a great motivator, and very positive, and says he would recommend any softball player at any level to train with Five Tool Softball Training. Another parent, Tenesha James, whose daughter participates in softball bootcamps, says that after moving from out of state, there was nothing like 5 Tool Training where they were from, that she loves the programs, and that her daughter could not be happier.
