Camp J offers activities, sports, aquatics, and Central Florida adventures as part of its summer camp program. Campers take part in morning cheers, weekly special events, Color Wars, and a Lip Sync Battle. The program takes place at the Andrew Hansen Mandell JCC Summer Camp (Camp J).
• Schedule: June 8 through July 31
The stated goal at the Andrew Hansen Mandell JCC Summer Camp (Camp J) is to create memorable summers for campers by infusing the values of Community, Inclusion, and Spirit into all activities, from morning cheers to weekly special events, with each activity intentionally crafted to fit the needs of campers. Camp J is rooted in Jewish values and uses a diverse curriculum that includes Central Florida adventures and Camp J traditions at the JCC. The approach to teaching Jewish culture is described as engaging and fun, with ShinShinim from Israel helping bring Israeli culture and Jewish customs to life through games, songs, and real-life stories. When school is out in Seminole and Orange Counties, Camp J offers days that include activities, sports, aquatics, and fun. The leadership team includes Terrance Perkins, the Director of Camp and Youth Programs. Positions are available at Camp J for Counselors, Specialists, and more.
