Jeff Ellis Management Swim Classes and Lifeguard Training offers swimming classes, swimming lessons, junior lifeguarding classes, and lifeguard training. The program also includes water aerobics, water safety seminars, first aid, and services related to pool management, pool maintenance, pool compliance, water sanitation products and services, and lifeguard auditing. Swimming classes are available for children three years old and up, and the classes are led by certified instructors.

Formed in 2004, Jeff Ellis Management (JEM) was created to be the testing and development laboratory for Ellis & Associates, Inc. The program’s stated mission is to deliver world-class aquatic facility management and swim instruction services while acting as a trusted partner for client-owners, and to provide a positive aquatic experience for guests by adhering to published safety guidelines and customer service objectives. JEM provides comprehensive aquatic facility and risk management services for the recreational aquatic industry, including premier lifeguard training and aquatic facility operation and an all-in-one pool management service.
After over 25 years of being globally recognized as a worldwide leader for aquatic safety by advancing professional lifeguard training and risk management services, the organization expanded to share its resources and set new standards for pool service companies managing aquatic facilities. JEM has an accountability-based lifeguard-credentialing system that consistently monitors performance to track attentiveness and proactive swimmer protection. It was the first lifeguard service provider to introduce and mandate the use of oxygen support equipment and equipment-based techniques to aid victims of aquatic accidents, and it is the only international lifeguard service provider to maintain a mandatory rescue database to track aquatic accidents. JEM also created an objective-driven vigilance awareness testing system to measure lifeguard attentiveness for swimmer protection.
JEM services hotels and resorts, homeowner associations, country clubs, and public aquatic facilities throughout the United States. One Jeff Ellis Swimming customer, Vickey Rachow, states that the swim instructors keep kids motivated, always have their safety in mind, and support kids by pushing them and giving them the opportunity to do what they love to do. General Manager Jim Capek of Elgin Country Club reports confidence in not having to worry about an accident, convenience in not having to hire lifeguards every year, a shift in liability, responsiveness from the management team, and describes the service as economical when factoring in employee benefits and general liability coverage.
