About the provider

After School Programs, Inc. was founded in 1991. ASP provides after school services for over 10,000 children in more than 75 Florida schools and also serves families in Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade, Orange County, and Baltimore City, Maryland. The Florida State Department has given its tutoring program an "EXCELLENT" designation. ASP says it employs over 1,000 qualified and trained childcare professionals, and that staff have background screenings, CPR and first aid training, and a minimum of 40 hours of childcare training course.

Safety is described as the first and foremost priority. Employees working with children must be fingerprinted and cleared by Local Police Departments, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and the FBI. ASP also says it works in partnership with each community, school, and family to design programs that meet specific needs.
