Deering Estate Camps & Youth Programs include activities such as Nature Preserve Tours, Guided Museum Tours, a Bird Walk, a Wildlife Kayak Adventure, a Lighthouse Cruise, a Moonlight Kayak Tour, Moon Viewing, Daybreak at Deering, and a Spring Camp. Participants can also visit the Historic Museum Homes, which are open for self-guided touring during general admission hours.
• Schedule: General admission is available daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, with no admission after 4 PM, and the entrance gate closing at 4 PM; the site is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, and daily guided tours are offered at 11:30 AM, with Nature Preserve Tours offered October through May daily at 12:30 PM.
• Price: Deering Estate’s 4th of July Celebration has an $8 admission.
Deering Estate Camps & Youth Programs take place at a 21st century house museum and cultural and ecological field station that is listed as a national landmark on the National Register of Historic Places and designated as one of seven Miami-Dade County “Heritage Parks.” The Historic Museum Homes are open for self-guided touring during general admission hours. The programs are part of a site that is owned by the State of Florida and managed by the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. To request materials in accessible format, sign language interpreters, CART, or other accommodations for any Miami-Dade Parks–sponsored program or meeting, families can contact Gisel Prado at 305-755-7848 or [email protected] at least 7 days in advance, and TTY users may call 711 (Florida Relay Service).
