Miami EcoAdventures Nature Camps

Miami EcoAdventures Nature Camps offers naturalist-guided excursions that include Water Adventures such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and a boat cruise, as well as Land Adventures such as archery, hiking with night programming, biking, and group camping. The program also includes activities like birding, outdoor skills, archaeology-themed adventures, coastal conservation and resiliency outreach, and topics such as “Things with Wings,” “Scales and Tails,” and “Sea Turtle Adventure.” Additional options include Nature Tots, Tales and Trails, self-guided tours, and after-school activities focused on fitness, nutrition and wellness, and developing an appreciation of nature, science and the cultural arts.

• Schedule: Camps are held in the spring and summer during public school breaks.

Miami EcoAdventures Nature Camps states that its mission is to promote and enhance the knowledge, understanding, appreciation and protection of natural resources through quality hands-on interpretive programs. Programs can take place at schools or at one of five nature centers. The organization offers year-round park and recreation programs for local children, adults and people with disabilities. Miami EcoAdventures Nature Camps works with public schools, civic organizations, parochial and independent schools, corporations, boy and girl scouts, special events, after school programs, libraries and homeschool groups. The leadership team includes Christina White, Director, Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces.
