Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, where Frost Science Camps take place, is a 250,000-square-foot campus of interactive science learning divided into four buildings: the Aquarium, the Frost Planetarium, and the North and West Wings. The museum uses leading-edge technology to create vivid science learning experiences and to run a more efficient building, and it functions as a case study in innovation and engineering achievements. The museum takes guests on a journey from the ocean to the Everglades, and from the human cell to outer space, and investigates life as it is known while exploring the process of science and innovation.

Frost Science has been awarded LEED Gold Certification for its practices in sustainable and energy-efficient design, construction, and operation. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, and is a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers.

Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is supported by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, the Building Better Communities Bond Program, and the City of Miami. It is also sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Frost Science is home to ReeFLorida, an initiative dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable future for Florida’s Coral Reef.
