Kids Discovery includes activities such as play, imaginative programming and play, making hats, and practicing cutting skills. The program also includes activities that use hand-eye coordination and creativity.

• Schedule: M–F, 6:30 am – 6:00 pm
Kids Discovery states that every child deserves caring adults, opportunities to learn, safe environments, and a sense of belonging, and that children should be embraced within a caring, safe environment where they can learn through play. The program states that a positive approach is the best approach, that praise creates good attitudes toward learning and builds self-esteem, and that learning should be a happy, rewarding experience for both child and teacher. The program reports putting 20-plus years of experience to work every day.
All staff are required to be trained in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid. All teachers are trained to recognize each child’s developmental progress through age-appropriate milestones, and initial employment and continuing education requirements include health, safety, nutrition, trauma, and other topics. All caregivers must complete 10 in-service hours of professional development every calendar year in areas such as child development and learning, family and community collaboration, and program management, and employees may take part in unlimited training opportunities.
Kids Discovery is COR Advantage-certified to provide observation-based skills assessments and is a Florida Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) provider. The program uses individualized learning approaches and observation-based skills assessments. Meals and snacks meet USDA guidelines, and a Virtual Tour is available.
Entrances are secured with restricted access, and live-view, closed circuit cameras are monitored by staff. A separate “Boo-Boo Room” is used for ill children waiting for pickup, rooms and toys are rigorously and regularly sanitized, and three separate playgrounds are available for specific age groups.
Kids Discovery reports giving back to the communities it serves, including involvement with Relay for Life, The Ronald McDonald House, and appreciation efforts for essential healthcare employees and military personnel. One Gulf Breeze parent reports that both a four-year-old and an 18-month-old attend, that the family transferred the youngest from another daycare, that teachers care about the children and parents, that cleanliness and health are taken very seriously, and that this parent would not send their children anywhere else but Kids Discovery.
