YMCA of Collier County Youth Programs (Swim, Sports, Camps, and Child Development) include swim, sports, camp programs, specialty camp programs, and day camp programs. The YMCA of Collier County has been serving Collier County since 1967, with the North Campus created in 1967 and the South Campus founded on November 14, 1977. The South Campus has been committed to helping children, families, and communities reach their full potential for 40 years, and the Y has been serving Collier County for more than 50 years. Fifty-three years after its beginnings at the North Campus, thousands of volunteers and staff members have worked to address social needs and change lives. The organization’s mission is to put Judeo Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The CEO and President is Cindy Love-Abounader.
The YMCA of Collier County is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community and works side-by-side with the community through its presence and partnerships across Collier County. More than 50 years ago, it was founded by a group of individuals who wanted to improve the community, and today volunteers and supporters remain at the heart of the organization. Its impact is described as being felt daily in neighborhoods, and its obligation to the community is described as continuously growing, with a stated intention to continue to innovate, embrace new partners, and be a force for transforming communities in Collier County. The YMCA of Collier County offers financial assistance through scholarships for membership and programs based on demonstrated need and availability of funds.
