Founded in 2007, Suncoast Stables is a full-service barn that offers customized equine training programs, horseback riding lessons, horsemanship training, and camps for any skill level. The program provides weekly private 1:1 lessons and all training is by appointment only, with no trail riding offered. Instruction includes lessons in Saddleseat, Dressage, Western, and Hunt Seat, and the barn specializes in American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Arabians, hackneys, and roadsters. Suncoast Stables also offers top-notch boarding and specialized training, leasing options, and assistance finding a horse that complements a rider’s style and budget.

Owner and trainer Krystle Lee received her B.S. in Equestrian Science from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. Krystle has been awarded Instructor of the Year by the Florida State High Point Program and 2024 UPHA Chapter 16 Horse Person of the Year, and is an active member of AMHA, ARIA, ASHA, CHA, UPHA, and USEF professional organizations. The barn has been recognized as FSHPP Barn of the Year in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and holds the title of Past Reserve World Champion of the American Saddlebred Breed Ambassador.

The program states that its barn is a safe and supportive family-friendly environment for horseback riding and training, and that weekly private 1:1 lessons emphasize the respect and responsibility needed to make a successful horse and rider team. ASTM F1163-15/SEI Certified helmets are available, and proper riding attire is required, including long pants and closed toe hard-soled shoes. Families must turn in a completed Client Application, Release Form, and Medical Form in order to be on the property, and are asked to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time, as late arrivals cannot receive extended time.

FOX 13 produced a segment on Suncoast Stables Summer Camps, and the program was previously featured on ABC News on the “Good Morning Odessa” segment as a place to try in the Tampa, FL area. Parent testimonials note long-term horsemanship training, boarding, competition, and horse care experiences, and describe emphasis on proper care, respect, safety, and good horsemanship.
