CFCArts Youth Theatre Programs

CFCArts Youth Theatre Programs includes Jr. Companies, Companies, Jr. Troupe, and Troupe. Jr. Companies teaches age-appropriate acting, vocal, and dance roles for preschool through second grade, Companies is a no-audition program for students in 3rd grade and up, Jr. Troupe requires auditions for students in 3rd grade and up, and Troupe is the highest level and requires auditions for advanced students interested in pursuing the performing arts as a career.

Programs

• Youth Theatre Programs — age 4 through 12th grade · Designed to train and educate young performers; includes Jr. Companies, Companies, Jr. Troupe, and Troupe.
• Jr. Companies — Grades PreK-2 · For preschool through second grade; learn age-appropriate acting, vocal, and dance roles; no auditions needed.
• Companies — Grades 3-12 · Inclusive, fun, and low-stress environment for students in 3rd grade and up; no auditions required.
• Jr. Troupe — Grades 3-12 · For students in 3rd grade and up who are ready for the spotlight; auditions are required.
• Troupe — Grades 3-12 (or Grades 6-12 based on show content) · For advanced students interested in pursuing the performing arts as a career; auditions are required; highest level of CFCArts Youth Theatre Programs.
• Summer camps — children and teens; younger children to older children and teens · each summer · Creative drama camps for younger children and advanced performance camps for older children and teens.
• UpBeat! — youth, teen, and adult exceptional learners and neurodivergent performers · Artistic platform; produces multiple performances each year, including short films and live shows.

• General schedule: Each summer and during some school breaks; UpBeat! rehearses Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. for Fall 2026, with season August 20-November 19, and performances on November 21-22.

About the provider

Central Florida Community Arts says it exists to serve and build community through the arts. CFCArts says the Youth Theatre Programs are designed to train and educate young performers, provide a place to showcase and hone artistic skills, build friendships, and learn the value of giving back to their community. It also says it is a Florida Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities provider and is committed to diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion, and belonging.

Placement is determined based on rising grade level for the coming school year. Summer camp refunds are available if a student withdraws more than two weeks before a camp begins, minus the deposit; less than two weeks before the start, no refund but tuition may transition to another CFCArts Youth Theatre program in 2026; after camp begins, no refund. For camps, students should wear dance or athletic shoes and bring nut-free, low-mess food and a water bottle.
