StarChild Academy

StarChild Academy offers infant care, toddler care, preschool, Pre-K & VPK, private elementary school, part-time programs for toddler through Pre-K, after-school care, and summer camp. Infant classrooms have a personal crib and age-appropriate materials, and toddler classrooms have age-appropriate materials and dedicated playgrounds. The infant program and toddler care program run Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

About the provider

StarChild Academy says Dawn Acosta has led StarChild Academy Oviedo since the school opened in 2006. The school says its mission is to give children a place to play, learn, create, and build memories that last a lifetime. It also says that 90% of its students meet or exceed national benchmarks, and that its curriculum includes Abeka phonics, Open Court Reading, Saxon Math, and Singapore Math. StarChild Academy says it has seven Orlando-area campuses: Apopka/Wekiva, Lake Mary, Waterford Lakes, Winter Garden, Hunters Creek, Oviedo, and Windermere.

Full-time programs are offered for children from infancy through 5th grade. Part-time infant care and part-time child care programs are available. Potty training is not required for infant and toddler age groups.
