About
The Goddard School of Oviedo offers activities that include music appreciation, dance, handwriting, physical fitness, sports and fitness, yoga and mindfulness, and use of an outdoor classroom and playgrounds with a rock wall. Children use tools such as an Interactive Whiteboard and computers, and they have access to a Literacy Nook and programs such as the Wonder of Learning® education program, American Sign Language, world cultures, and a summer camp with summer fun activities. The program also offers a state pre-K program, private kindergarten, after school transportation, and the option to order food.

The Goddard School of Oviedo opened in 2018 and is the first Goddard School in Central Florida. Scott Sheldon is the owner of The Goddard School of Oviedo and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the University of Florida. The school’s mission states that it offers an expert curriculum, experienced teachers and a nurturing environment to provide the best foundation for children’s growth. The program employs degreed teachers and includes secondary languages and American Sign Language.
The Goddard School of Oviedo is proudly accredited by NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation) and received the Circle of Excellence Award for May 2023–May 2024. Features at the school include air filtration systems, antimicrobial treatments, a disinfectant sprayer, finger guards, a gate alarm, key fobs, a non-biometric security scanner, outdoor security cameras, supervised lobby entry, a water filtration system, Zono, an outdoor classroom, playgrounds, a rock wall, and a Literacy Nook.
