Star Academy of the Performing Arts offers dance, tumbling, aerial, piano, and events. The program takes place in a dedicated facility that includes a dance room, an aerial room, a piano room, and an additional large dance room that is almost 1000 square feet. The studios use floating dance floors with marley surfaces, and the aerial rigging is able to withstand over 2000 pounds and is constantly checked.

Star Academy of the Performing Arts began in 2019, expanded into its own building with a dance room, aerial room, and piano room in 2021, and added an additional large dance room in 2022. The program serves approximately 250 students at a time and offers classes for all levels, from ages 2 through adult. The owner and director, Caitlyn Cobb, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a Minor in Ballet from the University of South Florida, performed with the USF Sundolls Dance Team for two years as Technique Captain and Social Media Manager, trained with All American Classical Ballet School from 2011–2013, and has performed dance and aerial acts throughout the country, including appearances in local commercials for MOR TV and Moreno Bakery.

The program states that it believes in providing exceptional training in a fun and positive environment and is dedicated to fostering individual growth as a family-oriented studio. It states that, through dance, aerial, music, and other arts, it can help students build self-confidence and friendships and develop life skills such as self-discipline, confidence, self-esteem, and discipline, as well as an appreciation for the performing arts.

Star Academy of the Performing Arts is described as an award-winning studio on the stage and in the community and as offering exquisite training in a family-friendly environment. The studio has received the Studio Spirit Award at Dupree Dance Convention in December 2023, the Eminence Award at Dupree Dance Convention in January 2025, and multiple scholarship awards, overall placements, and special awards at various conventions and competitions. It has been a Manatee Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Finalist in 2023 and 2024, a Bradenton’s Best winner in 2022, 2023, and 2024 for Best Birthday Parties, Best Dance Studio, and Summer Camps, and Caitlyn received the Business Observer’s 40 under 40 Award in 2024 and the Manatee Young Professionals 2024 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Caitlyn actively volunteers with the Pace Center for Girls. In 2023, she founded Star Community Arts, a non-profit initiative aimed at bringing the performing arts to those who might not otherwise have access, and in one year 7 families received scholarships due to family hardships.
