National Flight Academy offers real life flight planning and simulation experiences that include hands-on flight simulations. Participants study topics such as aerodynamics, propulsion, navigation, communications, flight physiology, ballistics, search and rescue, meteorology, teamwork, and leadership skills.

The program describes its mission as an immersive and transformative STEM learning experience aboard a state-of-the-art aircraft carrier simulator. It is ACA Accredited and is described as a NORTHWEST FLORIDA STEM CENTER OF EXCELLENCE, with programs based on real-world Naval Aviation missions and a focus on world-class STEM education, team-building, and confidence. National Flight Academy offers programs for students, adults, and corporate teams and is staffed with aviation experts equipped with the latest in flight simulation technology.
The leadership team includes Pat Everly (Executive Director), Mike Harbison (Deputy Director / Operations), Stephanie Pugh (Client Relations Director), Derek Steward (Curriculum and Training Manager), and Rob Garza (Program Manager). Together with partners, National Flight Academy provides programs based on real-world Naval Aviation missions and is adjacent to the National Naval Aviation Museum.
