About the provider
Crossroads Hope Academy says it has provided services for over 30 years through contracts with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. In 2013, it transitioned into a dedicated, full-time foster-care program. The program states its mission is to provide a safe and stable home for teen foster boys and notes that it has Candid's Gold Seal.
We provide teenage foster boys with a safe, supportive environment where they can grow, heal, and thrive while building a foundation for a brighter future. The boys we take in have been to an average of 14-16 placements prior to coming to Crossroads. They are difficult to place due to behaviors, legal charges, a history of running away from their foster placements, or multiple previous failed placements, including school placements. Our boys are often academically challenged and have extensive therapeutic needs. Many struggle with social and life skills.
