About
History Academy Camps and Mini Camps take place at the Military Heritage Museum and are offered on Saturdays and in the summer for 4th–8th graders. The program uses the museum’s Flight Ops simulator room, Virtual Reality Experience, and Smokeless Laser Gun Range, along with live presentations and documentaries.
• Ages: 9–13 years old
• Schedule: Saturday and summer camp and mini camp options during gallery hours, Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Price: $16 per person (age 15 and over), $14 for veterans, no admission fee for Military Active Duty, $10 for youth 5–14, and no fee for children under 5 and Sustaining Members.
The Military Heritage Museum integrates more than twenty thousand artifacts, veteran museum guides, flight simulators, graphics, live performance, and audiovisual elements throughout its 17,000 sq. ft. facility. Veterans lead all tours and present key moments in history through exhibits, the Flight Ops Simulator Room, the Virtual Reality Experience, the Smokeless Laser Gun Range, and the Training Center with live presentations and documentaries. The museum’s mission is to honor the legacy of America’s armed forces by preserving and sharing the stories of those who served, fostering understanding and respect for their sacrifices, and connecting people of all ages to the nation’s military history through exhibits, educational programs, and cultural experiences. The Military Heritage Museum has been voted BEST OF FLORIDA and is classified by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as an educational facility. The museum is a member of multiple professional and community organizations and maintains working partnerships with veterans’ groups and related organizations.
