CapoKids Preschool and After-School Programs and The CapoKids Martial Arts School Preschool, After-School & Summer Camp include the CapoKids Martial Arts Preschool and CapoTeen Classes. The CapoKids Martial Arts Preschool is described as the first and only Capoeira preschool in the world. The CapoKids Martial Arts Program is structured, and Capoeira classes for teens are described as getting teenagers to love sports and exercise. One stated guideline is “No drugs, no fights, the only thing they learn here is respect, discipline and the confidence they can do anything if they apply themselves hard enough.”

The leadership team includes Ms Nina (Preschool Director PHS), Mestre Rony (Teacher), Ms Cheri (Owner / Director), Luis Buenrostro (After-school Teacher/Director PHS), Mr. Ty (After-school Teacher/Director LWR), Ms Nikki (Director of SRQ Capokids Preschool), and Ms Jenny (Director of the LWR Capokids Preschool). The program started in 2001 with its camps. The mission statement says the program wants to encourage “life-long” learners by providing fun and encouraging classes, and that teachers use The Volta Ao Mundo Curriculum as a guide for developing children’s Capoeira skills, with materials and instruction that are developmentally age-appropriate and daily classes in individual, small, and large group settings. All three locations receive the best ratings from VPK by The Florida Department of Education year after year since 2011.

Parent and family testimonials describe the program as clean, fun, well managed, and an excellent balance of music, culture and exercise. Families report children learning Portuguese, singing empowering songs, learning to play instruments, and studying capoeira, as well as participating in extras such as Kona Ice and Water days and going on field trips. Multiple testimonials mention that staff and owners are kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and that the academy is family run, with children treated like part of the family. Several parents and relatives state that their children or nephews love attending, talk about what they learn, and that they would recommend CapoKids to others.
