Fab Lab summer camps are offered by the Suncoast Science Center/Faulhaber Fab Lab, which was founded in 2014 with the mission to inspire and support tomorrow's innovators through experiential learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Camps are designed for students by high school students in the SPEC Leadership Program and use a near-peer learning model where campers are guided by high school mentors. Community donations make these programs possible and support access to hands-on STEAM learning, and families can pay for summer camps using an Education Market Assistant (EMA) account/Step Up For Students scholarship by entering coupon code STEPUP and reserving funds within 12 hours of registering.
