Red Tiger Martial Arts

Red Tiger Martial Arts offers Tiger Tots for ages 3 to 4, Cubs-Beginner classes for school age children, the Tiger Program-Intermediate, Red Tiger Program-Advanced, Demo Team, Competition Team, Adult & Teen Taekwondo, After School program, and Summer Camps and Day Camps. Tiger Tots includes gross motor skills, following directions, self control, respect, focus, and listening skills. Beginner classes teach the basics of Taekwondo and self defense, while the intermediate and advanced programs include poomse, nunchucks, sparring techniques, leadership training, weapons, sparring, and forms.

Programs

• Tiger Tots — 3 to 4 years old · Youngest group starting at age 3; helps teach gross motor skills, following directions, self control, respect, focus, and listening skills.
• Cubs-Beginner class — School age children · Beginners learn basics of Taekwondo and self defense in a fun and positive environment.
• Tiger Program-Intermediate — Students learn poomse (forms), nunchucks, sparring techniques, and leadership training.
• Red Tiger Program -Advanced — Black belt level; students expand Taekwondo knowledge including weapons, sparring, and forms, and may learn leadership skills.
• Demo Team — Invitation only demonstration team; students learn presentation techniques for competitions, events, and/or parades.
• Competition Team — Invitation only class for students interested in competing in local, state, and national tournaments.
• Adult & Teen Taekwondo — Adult & Teen · Designed for beginners or seasoned athletes; helps relieve stress, build endurance, strengthen, and learn self-protection skills.
• After School program — Active and educational after-school experience in a safe, nurturing, positive environment.
• Summer Camps and Day Camps — Safe, fun, and engaging camps for kids; during camp days participants may do taekwondo, fitness and team activities, arts and crafts, and STEM.

About the provider

The program has been operating since 2003. Master Jin Hwan Hwang has studied Tae Kwon Do since age six in South Korea, is a founding father of Florida Taekwondo Union, and is involved with the USA Olympic community.

All of our classes emphasize the importance of respect towards elders in a family oriented setting. Our camps follow the Sarasota County School calendar. The program offers a 2 week trial program.
