Red Tiger Martial Arts

Red Tiger Martial Arts offers Traditional Taekwondo and Tae Kwon Do classes, as well as self defense, kickboxing, and fitness. The program also runs an After School program, along with Summer Camps and Day Camps that include Taekwondo classes, fitness activities, team activities, arts and crafts, and STEM activities.

Red Tiger Martial Arts describes itself as a Taekwondo school with clean and safe facilities, providing clean and safe environments for students and families and a positive learning environment. The program states that its mission is to create a safe, comfortable “family” environment that every student will be proud to call their “second home.” It is described as a modern approach to the traditional martial arts school, combining traditional aspects of martial arts such as respect, structure, and self-discipline with a twenty first century twist, and it is designed to get the whole family involved with programs for children, teens, parents, singles, and seniors. The school offers special events during the year in addition to regular classes, and instructors are described as patient and enthusiastic, giving personal attention to every student.

Summer and Day Camps at Red Tiger Martial Arts are described as providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for kids to learn and grow, and they operate on days kids are out of school, including Summer, Spring Break, Winter Break, and professional days. The Summer Camp program is described as including opportunities to set and achieve goals and make new friends.

Master Jin Hwan Hwang leads Red Tiger Martial Arts and has been studying Tae Kwon Do since the age of six in South Korea. He is a founding father of the Florida Taekwondo Union and is involved with the USA Olympic community, traveling to the Olympic Training facility in Colorado Springs at least once a year. Red Tiger Martial Arts provides after school services to Ashton Elementary, Fruitville Elementary, Gulf Gate Elementary, Imagine Palmer Ranch, Suncoast Academy, Tatum Ridge Elementary, Sarasota Middle School, and Pineview in Sarasota County.
