Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Summer Program

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Summer Program offers summer programming for ages 6 to 18. The program includes meals, with hot meals and breakfast options, and registration opens online at bgcsdc.org on a first-come, first-served basis. Two Clubs, Newtown Estates Park and Louis and Gloria Flanzer in Arcadia, offer completely free summer programming, while other locations range from $55 to $350 for the full eight-week summer.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties has operated since 1970. Its mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of America honored the organization with the National Safety Committee of the Year Award. All staff members undergo background checks at the local, state, and national levels, receive ongoing training in youth development and safety protocols, and are mandatory reporters. The organization also conducts annual safety assessments and maintains a confidential safety hotline.
