Youth and Family Art Programs include Free Family Saturdays, workshops, classes, open studios, and a kid’s summer camp. Families can also take part in Opening Night Receptions, the Authors & Illustrators Book Fair, and youth and family programs connected to juried shows like “Medium Mutiny.” Special events linked to the program include the Theatre of the Mind dramatic reading of “Where There’s a Will, There’s a Relative” and the Beaux Arts Ball costume ball honoring artistic legacy and supporting the future of art, celebrating the Roaring ’20s.

• Schedule: Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 am–5 pm, with Theatre of the Mind “Where There’s a Will, There’s a Relative” scheduled on Sunday, March 1, from 4–6 pm, and the Beaux Arts Ball on March 21, 2026, from 6–10 pm as part of The Art Center’s Centennial Season running from fall 2025 through summer 2026.
• Price: Theatre of the Mind tickets cost $15.

The program is part of a nonprofit organization that offers curated and juried exhibitions, workshops and classes, outreach initiatives, and youth and family programs, with admission free and donations appreciated. Unique features connected to Youth and Family Art Programs include Free Family Saturdays, open studios for working at one’s own pace surrounded by art and artists, a kid’s summer camp, the Beaux Arts Ball, and the iconcept event where local artists create fashion from unconventional materials for a grand runway show. The mission of the organization offering Youth and Family Art Programs is to bring together creatives and the broader public to increase understanding of the human condition, support wellbeing, and build community connection through the universal language of art.

The leadership team connected to these programs includes Executive Director Katherine Ceaser, Youth Education Coordinator Holly Flaig, Curator & Director of Exhibitions Christina Baril, Program Assistant Peg Shanley, Administrative Coordinator Rachel Denton, Bookkeeper Kelly Jordan, and Director of Education & Community Engagement Laurie Miller, along with board officers and members Mary Davis Wallace (Chair), Brenda Griffiths (Vice Chair), Ellen Seidensticker (Secretary), Barbara Banks (Treasurer), Michael Kinsey (Board Member), and Cathy Wilson (Board Member). Staff credentials include advanced degrees in education, psychology and art therapy, ceramics, marketing, art history, international studies, and humanities with an emphasis in communication. The organization offering Youth and Family Art Programs is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit, and its team includes individuals who have received recognition such as a Juno Award nomination for a children’s music album, a Young Professional of the Year award, and an Award of Appreciation from a regional public relations association. The Art Center’s Centennial Season, beginning in fall 2025 and running through summer 2026, will feature the Beaux Arts Ball, the inaugural Authors & Illustrators Book Fair, inspiring exhibitions, engaging classes, youth and family programs, and recurring, innovative art events.
