About
Wind & Waves Summer Camp includes sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, conducting science experiments, and fun-filled beach activities. Campers take part in paddling and sailing skills and marine science. Each camper receives a camp t-shirt, and daily snacks, drinks, and lunch are included.
• Ages: 8–12 years old
• Schedule: One week camp sessions, Monday–Friday
• Price: $400.00 per camper; sibling discount available
Wind & Waves Summer Camp is designed for children 8–12 years, with a stated goal for campers to develop a life-long love of watersports and gain an appreciation for the complex ecology of oceans, estuaries, and tidal marshes. The camp is led by a certified science teacher, and counselors are trained in First Aid and CPR. The counselor to camper ratio is always 1:5 or better. The program is an Authorized Concessionaire of Anastasia State Park. Each child must be able to swim, and a swim test to evaluate skill level is administered on the first morning of camp; no prior experience with paddling or sailing equipment is required.
