The LaFleur family's involvement in gymnastics dates back to the 1930s. Jeff LaFleur is the owner and operator of LaFleur's Tampa. Jeff, the owner and operator of LT, was a full scholarship athlete at the University of Minnesota, where he majored in Physical Education and minored in Child Psychology. His accomplishments include being a Big 10 Champion, a two-time All American, a Conference Medal of Honor recipient in 1976, a competitor in the Olympic Trials, and a medalist in the Pan Am Games in 1979. He was inducted into the University of Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and 2007. The LaFleur family was recognized at the 2011 USA Gymnastics Business Conference for their accomplishments, contributions, and commitment to the sport of gymnastics. The program states that all decisions are based on the question, "What's best for the kids?" One of its stated features is the phrase, "Where every child is a winner!"
