Kids Tennis Classes & Camps includes tennis camp, junior tennis lessons, and Junior MATCHPLAY. The program also connects with Junior Academy, Net Generation, Universal Tennis Rating (UTR), and High Performance activities for juniors. Kids take part in fun skill building games and challenging drills led by professional and certified tennis instructors and certified and caring professional tennis coaches.

• Ages: 3–16 years old
• Schedule: Kids summer 2025 tennis camp offered select weeks during 8 weeks of summer.

The program is run by The Tennis Connection, which has been serving tennis in the Tampa Bay area for 25+ years. The leadership team includes Tennis Director Dave Freiman, Professional Head Coach Andrew Tope, and Administrative Coordinator Marie Lessman. The Tennis Connection states that high quality, caring tennis professionals will teach children tennis skills in a fun and rewarding environment.

Kids Tennis Classes & Camps is part of a broader set of activities that also includes adult tennis classes, TennisFit workouts, Cardio Tennis, and Pickleball. The Tennis Connection is a licensed provider of Cardio Tennis, Net Generation, Universal Tennis Rating (UTR), and High Performance for both adults and juniors.

For tennis camp, children need to bring a tennis racquet, water bottle, and face towel, with a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and break-time snacks recommended. On “Wet Wednesdays,” participants should prepare to get wet by wearing a swimsuit under play clothes and bringing a towel to dry off. A limited quantity of junior racquets is available to demo, but participants are advised to bring their own racquet if they have one. The first class is free for junior tennis lessons for kids ages 3 to 16. Junior Academy is by invitation only.

Tennis Director Dave Freiman holds USPTA Elite Professional certification, is a recipient of the 2020 USPTA Florida Division Industry Excellence Award out of 1800 professionals, and has been named USPTA Florida District Professional of the Year.
