About

Camp Chameleon includes activities in nature, creative arts, athletics, aquatics, and frequent field trips. Campers take part in swimming at local pools and water playgrounds, slip and slide, water balloon fights, wacky water games, playing sports, discovering nature, arts and crafts, hikes, fishing, animal and plant studies, and naturalist guided tours, including Everglades airboat rides. The program also offers drawing, painting, ceramics, cooking, drama, dance, cheerleading, music, camp talent shows, conditioning, stretching, and a wide range of sports such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, flag football, tennis, track and field, racquetball, wiffle ball, kickball, dodgeball, boxball, gaga ball, along with food eating contests, group games, and Color War, plus field trips to places like arcades, movies, ice skating, roller skating, bowling, museums, miniature golf, indoor gymnasiums, and laser tag.

• Ages: 6–15 years old
• Schedule: June 9, 2025 – August 8, 2025, Monday–Friday, with three sessions (Session 1: June 9–June 27; Session 2: June 30–July 18, no camp on July 4; Session 3: July 21–August 8) and the option to register by session or by individual weeks within these dates

Camp Chameleon states that it provides kids with an opportunity to play, have fun and just be kids, encourages enjoyment of the outdoors and appreciation for nature, emphasizes physical activity with a variety of non-competitive sports and games, and offers a festive atmosphere with creative art and science projects, music, dance, and special events. The 2025 summer program offers flexible weekly schedules, and families can register for full sessions or choose individual weeks, with payments by the week available by calling 954-815-9054. The Young Chameleons program is for boys and girls entering grades K–5 in small, age-appropriate groups with low camper-to-counselor ratios, Chameleon Teen Camp is for middle school boys and girls entering grades 6–8 with an itinerary based on teen interests and field trips with their own age group five days a week, and the Counselors in Training program is for boys and girls entering grades 9–10. Extended hours run from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and are included in tuition, and a $1 per minute late fee is charged if a camper is not picked up by 6:00 p.m., with repeated late pick-up possibly resulting in dismissal from the program.
