Youth Creates

Youth Creates is connected with 7 Stages Theatre, a professional, non-profit theatre company. The program takes place in a setting where artists of many kinds develop new works and new methods of collaboration, with a focus on contemporary culture.

7 Stages Theatre has brought local, national, and international emerging artwork of social, political, and spiritual importance to Atlanta audiences since 1979. For over 40 years, artists of all kinds have used 7 Stages as a haven for the support and development of new works and collaboration. The theatre gives primary emphasis to international work and to the support and development of new plays, new playwrights, and new methods of collaboration. The leadership team includes Artistic Director Heidi S Howard and Marketing Coordinator Devi Wells. 7 Stages is also a rental house used by theatre companies from around Atlanta and beyond. Testimonials from patrons of the First Voices Festival in 2023 describe cultural experiences centered on Indigenous cultures and note the involvement of partners and sponsors in presenting the event.
