Camp Evergreen offers daily worship, time playing in Moccasin Creek, silly and wild evening games, and a waterfall hike as part of its overnight camp experience. The camp includes 18 wilderness-based daily activities along with more than 50 unique and silly choice time and “wild time” adventures. Camp Evergreen is a family-owned-and-operated, wilderness-centered Christian camp that runs overnight camp sessions for rising 2nd through 9th graders.

• Schedule: Overnight camp sessions ranging from 4- to 14-day sessions, with camp operations running 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily in summer and 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on specified weekdays from August through May
Camp Evergreen has operated since 1999 and marks 25 years of Camp Evergreen. The camp maintains a 4:1 camper-to-staff ratio, and staff members complete background checks, screening, abuse prevention training, Youth Protection Training, and CPR certifications. All staff are hand-picked as mentors for campers and are discipled in their Christian faith by camp leadership, including Katie and Toby, throughout the summer. The camp provides 24-hour on-site medical care, comprehensive weather monitoring, and an emphasis on hydration. Camp Evergreen is a member of the Christian Camp & Conference Association (CCCA) and has held this membership since 2017.
Two full sessions each summer are dedicated to offering camp at no cost to the families of more than 180 economically disadvantaged children from Atlanta and nearby counties. The camp’s mission states that it is rooted in Christ, that staff care for campers like family, and that they intentionally plant seeds and encourage kids to explore their faith. The mission also states that Camp Evergreen keeps numbers smaller to foster deeper relationships and that it welcomes kids from all backgrounds to experience the joy of summer camp.
