North Georgia Christian Camp

North Georgia Christian Camp offers summer camp sessions that focus on Christian teaching and camp life. The program includes 18 different sessions that are organized for campers in grades K–12. The camp is now used year round for its programs and activities.

The ministry of North Georgia Christian Camp began in 1966. In 1971, Lora Kiss donated 43 acres to be used as a permanent Christian camp facility, and the camp buildings were completed in late summer of 1972, with the first camp season on the new campground held that August. North Georgia Christian Camp states that it has been committed to providing a quality Christian camp in a loving, caring, and safe environment for over 50 years. Its mission is to show and tell youth about Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to be an extension of the local church for all ages to learn, grow in the Lord, and be challenged to serve Him, and to provide a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can be challenged to grow in their faith of Jesus and realize their need for Him in their lives.

The leadership team includes Jared and Brooklynn Cox as Camp Director and Camp Cook, Seth and Lauren Banks as Director of Facilities and Administrative Coordinator, and Jeffery Neese as Facilities Manager. North Georgia Christian Camp is a non-profit camp owned and supported by 29 non-denominational Christian churches ranging from south Georgia to North Carolina, and these churches donate time, talents, and money to support the camp. The camp is also supported by donations from individuals and families who support its ministry. The SAME JOY campaign is a fundraising effort that includes construction of additional volunteer housing, roads, and a new chapel. More than 3,500 people each year attend programs at North Georgia Christian Camp and experience unplugging from distractions and getting back to nature, and campers are not pressured to make decisions or to be baptized.
