About

Artist Spotlight Youth Media & Tech Programs focuses on activities in AI, the metaverse, gaming, audio, film, animation, VR, and tech. The program is offered as a virtual K8–12 event and includes new workshops in these media and technology areas. It also features an Artist Spotlight Youth Media & Tech Virtual Expo coming in fall 2026, with space available to reserve for the 2025 media and tech expo.

The mission of Artist Spotlight Youth Media & Tech Programs is empowering the next generation to discover 21st century careers in AI, animation, VR, gaming, and tech. The program offers in-school and after-school options for organizations’ youth ages 10–17, with a focus on bridging the learning and digital divide gap and providing exposure and building community through media and technology. Leadership and instruction roles are held by Morris Lucas (Director, Outreach and Programming; Director), GLENNeta Griffin (Film & Television Instructor), Quenell Jones (Cinematography Workshop Host), Dustin Ragland (Audio Production Engineer), Matthew Head (Film & TV Scoring Instructor), and Nak Yung Choi (AI & Animation Manager). The organization states that Artist Spotlight delivers experiences that last a lifetime.
